Millar Road is a true New Zealand experience. All buildings were designed by Nick Bevin of award-winning architects bevin+slessor. Nick describes the buildings as “reminiscent of New Zealand river and lakeside baches of the 1950’s and 60’s with their relaxed interior layouts and clear, uncomplicated and familiar architecture”.

All furniture is New Zealand designed and built, with key pieces custom-made by Apartmento. Outdoor furniture is from Peak Products and Bob McDonald. Several key indoor and outdoor pieces have been provided by David Moreland Design.

Millar Road’s sister company, Esther Diamond, has provided all of the occasional cushions (in super-soft moleskin) bed linen (in 300-count Egyptian cotton), tea towels & napkins (in Indian cotton) and the odd seriously stylish lamp. Esther Diamond works with leading New Zealand artists to combine art with fabric to create unique, luxurious and practical home ware products.
